Being Creative in the Era of AI

Sutirth Dey

Thursday, 23 July 2026  ·  Wynkk, Aundh

Generative AI can now produce poems, essays, paintings, scientific hypotheses and informed critiques, often of a quality that is hard to tell apart from human work. What does this imply for poets, writers, painters and scientists? Should they migrate to jobs that do not involve competing against AI? Should you care if you have never thought of yourself as a creative person? These questions have no generally accepted answers. Sutirth presents his own opinionated thoughts, and tries to send you home with yours.

Came with an optional pre-talk pick from the speaker: Isaac Asimov's short story "Profession".

About the speaker
