Lyso-PS is a fat molecule that regulates communication in our brain and our immune system. Siddhesh talks about his lab’s work on this tiny molecule with a big story, and how it could lead to significant health breakthroughs.

The talk is aimed at laypersons: you can (and should) come even if you have no background in any of these areas.

About the speaker

Siddhesh Kamat is an Associate Professor in the Department of Biology at IISER Pune and a winner of the 2024 Infosys Prize. He completed his B.Tech. at UDCT, Mumbai and his Ph.D. in chemistry at Texas A&M University before joining IISER in 2016.
